A Shout-out to the Omron Scale

I don't work for Omron, and I have nothing to gain by saying this. But may I just say that I think the Omron Full Body Sensor Body Composition Monitor and Scale is amazing. Granted, I don't always like what it's telling me, but I love that it can monitor and give me so much information.

So what does this gadget do? This scale meaaures all of the following: weight, body mass index, percentage of body fat, percentage of skeletal muscle, visceral fat, and real body age.

I had never had my visceral fat measured before, and to tell you the truth I didn't even know what it was. If there's anyone reading this who, like me, doesn't know about visceral fat, it's the abdominal fat stored in the abdominal cavity. Visceral fat is the most dangerous fat because it is closest to the heart and lungs. Unfortunately this is the most difficult fat to lose.

This scale is extremely user friendly and is no larger than the typical bathroom scale. After the initial set-up, which is easy to do, it's interesting and fun to get my daily stats. I record them every day, but the scale does have a built-in memory.

As for cost, I consider this scale a great bargain. I found mine for approximately $65 online. I am definitely getting my money's worth.

If you are interested in monitoring your weight plus a whole lot more, I highly recommend the Omron.
